MEET WILLOW
AGE: 6 | CONDITION: Spastic Diplegia Cerebral Palsy; Born Severely Premature
Willow was born 14 weeks early, weighing only one pound 14 ounces. From the very beginning, she showed a strength that would come to define her journey. Willow has far surpassed what was initially expected of her. When Willow was diagnosed with spastic diplegia cerebral palsy, her family faced an uncertain picture of what her future might look like. It was unclear whether she would ever sit or walk unassisted. Today, Willow runs, jumps, and approaches life with incredible joy and determination.
While she uses a wheelchair for longer distances and occasionally relies on leg braces, Willow continues to surpass expectations. She receives care through the outpatient program at Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital, where a dedicated team of doctors, specialists, and therapists support her growth.
“The care Willow receives is extraordinary,” says her family. “The team doesn’t just see her diagnosis —they see Willow as a whole person and supports our entire family.”
Your ticket purchase supports kids and families from ALL OVER SASKATCHEWAN. Providing access to urgently needed equipment enhancements, specialized programming, and life-saving research.
Through Rider Reading, the Saskatchewan Roughrider Foundation is helping students build confidence, strengthen literacy skills, and discover a love of reading while connecting with Roughrider players both in person and virtually. Through Win with Wellness, we support youth in developing resilience, understanding mental wellness, managing stress, and building healthy habits that support lifelong success.
Together, these programs have already impacted more than 40,000 students across Saskatchewan this past year, helping young people grow not only as learners, but as teammates, leaders, and individuals. With your support, we can continue expanding our reach and creating opportunities for youth across the province.
Our mission is simple: to empower Saskatchewan’s youth by investing in literacy, wellness, and leadership development. Because when we support the whole child, we help build stronger, healthier communities and a brighter future for Saskatchewan.
